Zarzis Olive Oil gets its name from where its olives are grown. Our olives come, handpicked, from a small town south of Tunisia, and nowhere else. We farm our trees using time-honored Baali techniques as is the tradition in the southern region of Tunisia.

Zarzis Olive Oil comes from a small town south of Tunisia, Zarzis, and nowhere else. We farm our trees using time-honored Baali techniques as is the tradition in the southern region of Tunisia. Zarzis has a Mediterranean climate but is very dry which allows the olive trees to grow under high stress and produce the maximum amount of polyphenol. For those who don’t know, polyphenol is the molecule in olive oil that helps prevent cancer and heart disease making Zarzis one of the healthiest olive oils in the world.


Handled With Care
Additionally, all of our olives are handpicked, hand-washed, and delicately transported. We focus on this extra level of care because it leads to a purer, sweeter, and undiluted olive oil. When other companies use machines to do their picking they often end up pressing leaves and sticks into their oil which results in a bitter, diluted olive oil with fewer health benefits. We believe it is important to take this simple, extra step and ensure a perfect product.
